Lumecca IPL Photofacial

A premium solution for pigmentation and vascular lesions offering peak power with quick results.

What are Photofacials?

Designed with 3x more energy than comparative IPL machines, the Lumecca offers the most effective and powerful intense pulse light (IPL) treatment in just one session. Lumecca has built-in safeguards and a strong sapphire cooling tip to ensure that all sessions are comfortable and relatively pain-free.

Lumecca targets age spots, sun damage, vascular lesions, rosacea, freckles, uneven skin tone, surgical scars, pigmented stretch marks, liver spots, and birth marks for Skin Types I-IV!

How It Works

During IPL (AKA photofacial), a strong pulse of light is emitted at a particular wavelength which targets pigmentation and small veins on the skin. a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy breaks down the targeted cells on the skin which are cleared off within 10-14 days.

The results will leave you with brighter, more even, and younger looking skin.

Sessions are typically booked every 4 weeks for 3-5 sessions. Your plumpitupp practitioner will create an individualized treatment plan for you!

Results, Longevity & Maintenance

You may begin to notice the results of your Lumecca treatment immediately after the treatment. After each session, the skin should show improved results in two weeks, once the pigmentation has flaked off and the lesions have dissipated. Significant results are visible at the end of your customized treatment plan.

Over the next 24-48 hours you may see darkening of pigmented spots - in the week following, the lesions may appear as “coffee grinds” on the skin and flake off, leading to an evening out of the skin tone. After treating vascular lesions, the veins may blanch and disappear after a few days!

It is always advised to use sunblock and avoid sunlight/tanning for 2 weeks following the treatment and 4 weeks preceding the next session.

  • Immediate Results:
Some immediate changes may be visible immediately after the Lumecca IPL session. The treatment targets pigmentation irregularities, such as sunspots and freckles, causing them to darken and eventually flake off.

    Progressive Improvement:
Over the following days or weeks, you may notice a progressive improvement in the overall tone and texture of your skin. Reduction in redness, improved skin clarity, and a more even complexion are common early signs of the treatment's efficacy.

    Pigment Changes:
Pigmented lesions targeted by Lumecca, such as sunspots or age spots, may initially darken before gradually fading away. This process can take a week or more, and it's essential to allow the skin to naturally shed the treated pigmented areas.

    Collagen Stimulation:
Lumecca IPL also stimulates collagen production, contributing to long-term improvements in skin elasticity and firmness. While collagen synthesis is a gradual process, you may begin to notice a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance over several weeks.

    Optimal Results:
The full benefits of Lumecca IPL are typically realized a few weeks after the last session in a series of treatments. For individuals addressing specific concerns, such as sun damage or redness, multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart may be recommended for optimal results.

It's important to note that individual responses to Lumecca IPL can vary based on skin type, the severity of the concerns being addressed, and the number of sessions completed. To achieve and maintain the best results, it's often recommended to follow a personalized treatment plan as prescribed by your skincare professional.
